(We)ave Made History

Role(s): Exhibition Designer, Lighting Designer, Community Engagement Facilitator – Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center, 2024

Created for the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center in collaboration with Pride Live and Parsons School of Design. My role included co-curating and designing a 100+ poster exhibition wall, leading lighting design and visual identity development, facilitating community weaving sessions with 50+ participants, and producing 15+ print materials with rapid 48-hour turnarounds. The installation became the most popular attraction serving 1.58M annual visitors, creating an interactive space where diverse queer histories intersect through collective storytelling, personal reflection, and community contribution.

Trick VAN Winkle

Role(s): Experience Designer – Constellation Burn, 2023

An immersive trickster-themed art installation for Constellation Burn regional event in Pennsylvania. My role included conceptualizing the folklore-based experience design, collaborating on construction of a custom stage and woodland dance floor from reclaimed materials, transforming a van into a graffiti-covered art car centerpiece, and facilitating interactive performances where visitors exchanged "tricks" for magical beverages. Working within tight time constraints and a collaborative budget structure, the installation successfully created a participatory oasis that embodied Burning Man principles of radical participation and gift economy while showcasing skills in rapid prototyping, environmental adaptation, and experience design.

Zimoun’s Sound Sculptures

Role(s): Student Artist Assistant – NYU Abu Dhabi Art Gallery, 2019

Supported the installation of five immersive audio-visual sound sculptures by Swiss artist Zimoun at NYU Abu Dhabi Art Gallery. My role included assisting with structural fabrication and motor mounting, supporting wiring and electronics integration under supervision, participating in precision assembly of hundreds of mechanical components, and helping with testing and quality control processes. The exhibition received significant international press coverage in Hyperallergic, DesignBoom, and The National, transforming the gallery into an immersive sensory environment where everyday objects created complex audiovisual experiences.

Remaking History

Role(s): AR Developer, Narrative Designer, Audio Engineer – Course Project, 2023

An immersive AR sound installation exploring lost family history through spatial audio and augmented reality technology. My role included conducting extensive historical research on 1930s Kerala, India, developing three interconnected audio narratives blending fact and fiction, and designing and programming a custom AR application with marker-based recognition. Working within a $100 budget across multiple prototypes, the installation successfully connected visitors to ancestral narratives through a combination of historical documentation and speculative reconstruction.

Reading Between the Lines

Role(s): Curator, Researcher, Exhibition Designer –  Parsons Graduate Thesis, 2023-2024

A critical museum installation exploring institutional misinformation through the socialist history of New Harmony, Indiana. My role included conducting extensive historical research and archival analysis, designing a dual-layer exhibition using UV-reactive materials to reveal hidden graffiti commentary, creating all exhibition content including documentary video and audio interviews. Working within a $200 budget, the project aimed to demonstrate how institutions are able to shape understanding through selective presentation, prompting visitors to become more critical consumers of institutional information.
